Alongside the music, we hang the work of fine painters in the music room. Every exhibition can be seen at any of our concerts, or privately by appointment.

Alistair Erskine

Alistair Erskine works in oils, painting swiftly and directly from nature to catch, in his own words, "the fleeting interaction of colour with colour, and with light."

Brought up in Dorset and Hampshire, he lives just up the road in Goodworth Clatford, and the rivers, downs and coastlines of the South run all through his work, from the River Test at Compton to the beaches of Mothecombe.

His landscapes and still lifes have been exhibited at Harvey & Woodd, at Browse & Darby in Cork Street and at the Brownston Gallery in Modbury. In 2011 he travelled as official artist on the royal tour of Spain, Portugal and Morocco, and his paintings are held in the Royal Collection.
